Last weekend, I got to attend and be a part of one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever attended. Perfectly dubbed “Love Fest,” Clare Turton and Justin Derrico exchanged vows at his family farm in beautiful Western Albemarle County. I was excited to be asked to break out the photo booth for this event… packed full of dancers and musicians who were more than willing to have some fun in the booth. Congrats to you guys! Thank you for letting me be a part of your day!

I get asked about every couple of months if I photograph weddings & my answer is typically “No.” I don’t completely rule them out, but for where I am in my life with young kids, I’m just not ready to give up most Saturdays that I would like to spend with my family (not to mention the amount of time it takes to process wedding pictures after the fact). Though, after much prodding, I was convinced to do a wedding last weekend by some friends! So, here I am… a wedding photographer?? Maybe not just yet, but keep an eye out… I will be doing some 2nd shooting with a local photographer a bit later in the Summer.

I feel so lucky to have been asked by Chris & Brandi to photograph the memories from their wedding day. I’ve known them for a couple of years now and was so excited to see them tie the knot. I showed up on time to take pics of the bride getting ready, but due to a sudden fall out of the sky, I ended up not being able to run into the church until the weather settled down a bit. Luckily Brandi waited for me a little bit before getting into her dress! The skies parted just in time for the wedding!! Congrats to you both and thanks for letting me be a part of it.
